www.AppealForRedress.org is by enlisted soldiers who want thousands of US soldiers to enter their name and rank (and whether they've been in the Iraq Theater) to a legal appeal for redress on many issues, including a withdrawal of Iraq.

Their info would go straight to members of Congress, like a petition.

The appeal is legal under the federal Whistleblowers Act and is a request for the principal of withdrawal from iraq-- whether immediate, six months or a year.

Active duty service members want all kinds of oppression including rampant want problems exposed in military life, as well as sexism, homophobia, racism and military justice.

Other countries already have organizations and unions but US soldiers have nothing. US Soldiers are still citizens who don't lose their rights just because they are in the military but they have no group.

Even though there are no reprisals, do soldiers deserve to voice their opinions on these matters?

I'm sorry, but you're wrong- members of the US Armed Forces are governed by the "Uniform Code of Military Justice", and do not enjoy the same rights as civilians. For example, a civilian cannot be tried twice for the same crime (double jeopardy), but a serviceman can- once by civilian court and once by military tribunal.

when uncle sam delivers hummers without protective armour and troops have to improvise these hummers-- why didnt the military see this before being shipped to our soldiers?? and how about the troops that had to buy their own ballistic vests because uncle sam thought they only needed vests for flack and not high powered rifles? there is no reason that any of our soldiers should go to fight and take chances when the military has ample money to provide them with class3 or 4 vests or a vehicle that will take fire from an ak or equilivant round.? these camel herders have been fighting for 2000 years-- and the u.s. is going to change that?? the fight against terrorism has failed and we need to get our guys and gals back home safely. seems like they are doing a good job of killing themselves off with car bombs. no weapons of mass destruction-- no bin laden-- saddam was just at the wrong place and got busted--while bush takes away our civil liberties that were paid for in human blood during previous wars-- it sounds like the country i was so proud to be in is on a downhill slide. now bush is talking torture and other stupid crap-- sounds like we are turning into a gestapo state (only an opinion)

Has it occurred to you that the reason you get so few responses is that the troops disagree with you?

Hint: Look at the re-enlistment rate for soldiers who have served in Iraq.

BTW - what makes you think that you have the first clue as to what life is like in the military?

That website is crap. It is not sponsored by who you claim.

Believe it or not, the vast majority of soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines support the war effort and would like people like you to but out.

Again, as I have pointed out before, I have the honor and privilege to serve in an all volunteer military. No one is being forced to join.

Military members are governed by the UCMJ and voluntarily relinquish rights as directed by the UCMJ to provide good order and discipline.

All military members have a voice and a system for making concerns known. All military members are well aware of this system. There are mechanisms by which we can address our concerns even to the level of congress and the Commander in Chief.

Do everyone a favor and stop spreading this crap.

Politicians salary wars to maintain human beings under administration, in basic terms like the egyptians development the pyramids. immediately, our legislators hire those human beings to undercover agent on us. They declare to be searching for terrorists. Then they let us know that returning veterans from Iraq are terrorists. people who voted for Ron Paul are terrorists. people who're professional-life or have self belief in the 2d substitute are terrorists. people who elect the Federal Reserve abolished and to return to the top-high quality are terrorists. those everyone seems to be a threat to freedom and our variety of government. We pay their salaries and that they undercover agent on us, and contact us terrorists. they're the actual terrorists.

ok--go ahead----see how many court martials there will be
jumping the chain of command like that is a recipe for disaster
soldiers have to use their chain of command
stated in the UCMJ
if you believe otherwise you have no knowlege of the military system whatsoever
