Friend - I do this in my sleep, though I have not be diagnosed with OCD but Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Probably both are appropriate. I use those little round bandaids at night (and when I am home alone), keep my nails clipped and like you, ask my friends to help me as I do not realize I am doing it. It is important to get it stopped as from experience I know they can get infected and leave scars. I have been doing much better since using the bandaids. GB

Whether others say you have OCD or not, try a medical treatment if it really harms you physically or socially. The way you describe it, it doesn't look like you can or ever will be able to help it.
I've spent most of my life hoping and trying to get over my tics until I recognised they have a neurological origin. It helped me a lot to accept this. After weighing the pros and cons, I decided against taking pills regularly, but at the same time I learnt to accept myself as I am. This didn't stop my tics, but helped me to feel much more self-confident in front of other people.

I'm pretty sure that isn't OCD. When you do get a zit, put a bandaid over it. You might look kind of stupid but its better than picking at it until you get a scar

First, that's not O.C.D. You hit the pimple on the head when you said habit. It's just natural to want to pick them. Go to your dermatologist to get some meds.
