EXAMPLE, IF A GROUP OF 5 ALL EAT GARLIC AROUND THE SAME TIME, AND ANOTHER GROUP OF 5 DOES NOT EAT ANY, THE OTHER GROUP THAT DOES NOT EAT GARLIC AN SMELL THE GARLIC OFF THEM, BUT THE GROUP THAT ATE THE GARLIC AND NOT SMELL GARLIC OFF ANYONE THAT ATE GARLIC.

I may be wrong but I believe it's because you have the garlic in your stomach and your nose loses it's sensitivity to its smell. Just like when you wear a perfume you can't smell it yourself but others can.
