Some kids can't help wetting the bed. They sleep too deeply.
When I was a kid, the my best friend wet her bed until she was in grade school. These were the rules her parents made for her:
-No beverages after dinner
-Use the bathroom right before bed
Her parents never made a big deal about it or embarrassed her about it. Eventually, maturity & the rules helped her get over it.

First you need to find out if he is wetting the bed because he has a medical problem or maybe something is bothering him. If he has always been this way he may have something wrong with his bladder. Sometimes boys also do not learn to control their muscles until 5-7 years of age. I personally would take him to his peditrician and discuss it with them. Getting him up overnight may also help alleviate him wetting the bed. If it is not medical I would cover his mattress with a plastic cover and have him wear underwear to bed. When he goes to the bathroom he will definitely feel it then. If this is a new thing something may be going on that is affecting him. I would explore all options to find out what is going on.

My 7 year old still wets the bed. She has kidney/bladder medical problems though and is being treated through specialists.
We just got a bed wetting alarm. Maybe you doctor will write a prescription for one.
Not much you can do other then letting him grow out of it.
Limiting drinks ushually will not make a difference. Its about them learning to wake when they need to go weather its a tiny bit or a full bladder. I also found my daughters problem has been in the morning hours not the night hours.
Give him time. He will make it. In them mean time continue pull-ups its saves on the mess. Also contact his doctor. Maybe he can try the bed wetting alarm or medication to slow his function at night.

When do you put him to bed? Whatever time u put him to bed you can stop him from drinking two hours before he goes to bed, then you can make got to the bathroom before he goes to bed. Then if you want you can wake up in the middle of the night to make him go to the bathroom, or you can go find some pull ups,so when he do wet them the pull-up will turn cold so he knows to get up and go to the bathroom.

I had the comparable situation. After a pair of year of no injuries my daughter began up returned. i did not provide her something to drink approximately an hour formerly she went to mattress. I made her bypass to the bathing room formerly going to mattress. If she pronounced she did not would desire to bypass i made her sit down on the lavatory anyhow( she continuously ended up going then). I set my alarm for 1230 and picked her up mutually as she substitute into nonetheless sound asleep and sat her on the lavatory she could barley be unsleeping yet could bypass pottie. Then while i could awaken interior the morning and that i could take her to the bathing room precise away. understand she is used to this habitual and dose it each nighttime on her very own. It took a pair of month for this to ensue. additionally take her to the known practitioner to do a urine diagnosis to be sure she would not have a kidney or bladder an infection. this would reason mattress wetting. some human beings in basic terms cant administration it. I had a pal in severe college who took drugs for this and nonetheless ended up wetting the mattress.

don't let him drink caffeine. caffeine will make you go more often. also try setting the alarm and waking him up and having him go. also you might want to go see the doctor just to make sure if something else isn't the problem.
