My theroy is that these women (and men of course but I'm only interested in the female perspective on this right now) value other things in their lives as higher than a relationship and simply use others for sex as recreation, not really valueing the other person, at least not valueing them very highly in the sceam of their lives.

Not necessarily, though many people have this wrong notion.
A career woman is usually more "liberated" in her ideas of sex, more aware of her sexual needs, and will take steps to see her needs are satisfied. That's because she is more probably more independent-minded, assertive, and confident of herself. This makes her a "go-getter", which, sadly, society interprets as being promiscuous and labels her as such.
I must also say that most career women draw the line at using sex for career advancement. Most believe, that office and bedroom shouldn't come together. But, let's face it, we are all human, and we have our frailties, and her giving in to the occasional temptation does not warrant the rest of us to be her judge.

It depends what YOU define as promiscuous. Career women by definition are probably more confident with themselves and their bodies than others. They can confidently go and get what is required to satisfy their career aspirations and physical requirements. They will more likely stay with someone who is also career minded.

Interesting. You could be right. Also, maybe you have just met the wrong one/ones. Maybe they just need a little sex but don't want commitments--just like a lot of men. :) Sorry for your injury. Better luck next time. Seriously.
