How can you keep Christmas hard candy from sticking together after you have placed them in a candy dish. I tried putting them in an air tight container, but after a few days they begin to stick together. Someone said to sprinkle powder sugar on the candy before you place them in the dish; it did not work for me.

Instead of putting them in a glass candy dish. try putting them in a tin candy dish. this is just a wild guess, I'm thinking will work, because, I've noticed that glass dishes usually takes on room temperature where as a tin dish stay's at a neutral temperature, unless it's exposed to direct heat

I love making hard candy and lollipops. Slightly before they cool, I shake them in a zip lock bag with cane sugar. Lollipops don't stick to the plastic candy bag. I put loose hard candy in cute plastic containers after they have been coated with cane sugar, then I had a tablespoon of cane sugar to the container. If they try to stick together, I gently shake the container and they all become loose again, and they are delicious. Hope this helps.

Try Bob's Candy. Look it up on the net. At one time it was located in Albany, Ga. but has moved. I know that they have an office in Waycross,Ga., but don't know if they still have the Bob's name. The soft sticks taste better.

if your expecting company soon, try to spread them neatly on a decorative platter or dish. If they are large sticks and you have the time...buy some colored saran wrap and deco them up and tie with ribbon. Maybe even strategically place saran wrap in your dish to keep the candies from touching. good luck :)
