Square yardage of a municipal golf course?

How much more space than a football arena w/ parking lots and stores? A shopping mall?

Its really hard to say because all courses are different lengths and widths, but a fair average would be in the area of 6,500,000 sq yards.

A golf course would consume about the same area as a football stadium with surrounding parking lots.

This would make a golf course about 2 sq miles.

about 175 acre,about 50 football feilds
