I do this all the time. There's nothing wrong with it. I don't know how many times I realized I've forgotten a sin afterwards (although, if you honestly forgot it, it's still forgiven).
Use thin paper, since it's easier to chew and swallow afterwards (that's just me... :)

Take the notecards.
it is a good idea as you may leave one or two out. This could cause you to receive too little pennance.
Just to be on the safe side, write em all down and say three Hail Marys on the way to the Church. Also bring the Padre a cuppa Joe cause it sounds like he is going to be there for awhile!!
When was the last time you went to confession? 1986?!

I'd skip the confession ritual and go straight to Jesus and ask him to forgive you. No preist or any other man can forgive you. They're sinners like me and you.

Take your confessions directly to the Lord. You don't need a priest or anyone for that matter to intercede on your behalf. Another response in this string told you just like it is, the priests themselves are just as much a sinner as you and I. Or have you allowed yourself to think of them as "better than you", thefore they must be closer to God? Not so my friend. The Lord wants you to come to him on your own with no man between you. Try it, you'll be amazed at how awesome it feels to confess directly to the Father in heaven.

It doesn`t need to be a grocery list...the fact that you even go is so fantastic. God knows what is in your heart and will look after what you forget. You are amazing for continuing to do the sacrement of confession....so many people have lost the grace of God`s forgiveness and His strength because they don`t do this God Bless you!

You don't need to go to confession.Just pray for forgiveness and God will forgive you.

Hey, do what you gotta do to get it all off your chest. If you have to have a note card, hell light a match send a smoke signal, what ever means necessary to cleanse yourself, do it. You'll feel much better in the end knowing you got all that crap out of your life.
