I always have this trouble when I like someone. I just want to get it off my back, and I feel so much better when I say that I like him. But then, it always turns on me. I've tried not to admit my feelings so soon, but I can't help it. And I always get a gentle, but painful rejection. Does anyone else have this problem? Any way I can stop myself?

been there done that. been embarrased and hurt and no matter how much i said next time i wouldnt do it.. i couldnt keep my mouth shut and was rejected again.once a guy even pretended that he had a g f so he can avoid me.
well i found a guy who loved me so much that i didnt have to worry abt that any more. took me many yrs and lots of broken hearts.
paitience is all u can have. wait for the right one then there is no more awkward moments (like the one right after u tell him how u feel)

Well this is a common problem. If you just meet the person and start liking them and all of a sudden say that you like them then yeah they'll probably be freaked out because they don't know you that well. BUT if you are talking about knowing a person for a while and then admiting your feelings for them then there is nothing really wrong with that. Before you admit your feelings to someone you should first GET TO KNOW that person. You shouldn't be the type of person to never talk to the one you like and then all of a sudden burst out with a "I have feelings for you" because in MOST cases that can freak a person out, but there can always be exceptions. Well, my advice is to get to know the person before you start considering having feelings for them. Start conversation with them, say "Hello" to them often to let them know that they're on your mind. Some men/women like the straight foreward type and some do not so you must consider both types of a human being's reactions.

I'm going through that right now, I have always had that problem. You just have to bite your tongue. It's one of the hardest things in the world but it would be harder to lose him by opening your mouth too soon, just try to remember that and that should help.

I do the same thing. I think you need to work on being happy with yourself. I think we do it because we need the "validation" from the other person - I suggest working on you. Know that only YOU can fulfill and validate yourself, you'll be able to hold out much longer. And someday girl, HE will say it first. :)

Personally, I am scared to admit my true feelings. I think you have a good quality. Keep trying, you'll find him some day.

Just try to control yourself, and try not to make yourself too clingy. That is always a turn off.

wait for them to do it first. after that, just express you feel the same, don't drop the bomb on them.

try not to be so forward so fast. make them guess how you feel.
