Did she ever know how to use the litter box? Is this something she has recently started to do?

Kittens usually learn to use the litter box from their mother. If the kitten was raised by hand or weaned too soon she may have never learned in the first place.

A good way to teach her is to get her a small kennel to stay in at night. Include a litter box and a bed. She should soon figure out that using the litter box is preferable to going where she sleeps!

However, is she does already know how to use it her not going in the right place could be a sign of serious health or behavioral problems. However, not always so don't get alarmed.

First, try a new cat litter. She may not like what you are using.

Is the cat box is near her food, MOVE IT. Would you poop where you eat? No way!

Is the box hard for her to get in and out? Kittens are awkward and clumsy, remember it can be hard for them to get around.

If nothing helps, take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't have a urinary track infection. This is another common cause of not using the litter box and is very serious.

Ya know, MOST cats get the litter training automatically. But then there are the few who just don't get it right away. All I can really tell you is that while you are around, you need to put her in the litter box every time you catch her doing her business in an inappropriate place. You should make fairly good headway shortly!
Give her some time to adjust to using the box. If you must, keep a spray bottle of water around to let her know when she's done something wrong. Good Luck! It shouldn't take you too long to iron this out! Couple days......

First of all, Be patient! He is just a helpless little kitty and depends on you to keep him happy and healthy.

Place the kitten in the box 1/2 hour after play or meals.
Stimulate interest in the litter by stirring it.
Let the kitten jump in and out of the litter box instead of restraining him.
Place some stool in the litter box (builds associations between litter box and bathroom needs).
Use a litter with pellets as these mask the wet feel.
Never punish your cat for soiling in the house by rubbing their nose in it. They'll just learn to soil in a place where you can't see them doing it.

My cat did the same thing. I had to get a certain lemon spray and spray it where the most popular place that he was pooping at was. then right by that placeput the litter pan. Or the other simple way to resolve it is to have a fance in yard, and let them go out back every once in a while... both work pretty well especially the outside one.

Leave her in the bathroom with the litter box for a couple of days with her food and water of course. When you go, put her in the litter box, also move her paws in the litter. I had a cat once and I had the same problem, now I have a dog that pee's everywhere! LOL

First...take her to the vet to rule out a medical condition. Second, make sure she knows where the kitty litter is and has been introduced to it. Keep her in one room, door shut and have all she needs in there until she is using the litter on a regular basis. Make sure to go in and play with her often. Also, be sure to keep the litter clean.....kitties don't care for nasty litter and who can blame them.
