Dusty orange. That is the color scheme of my kitchen, and the orange makes it cohesive and interesting.

I would choose something from the gold/yellow family...like a nice flat finish honey wheat colour or, depending on the undertones in your wood floor, even a very muted gold could look nice. just be certain to get a sample, bring it home, and compare to your wood. I recently painted my downstairs wc sage green and had to change it to grey as the wood floors have a red undertone I hadn't noticed until painting the walls. (original color was a light beige) good luck!

If you will look at a color wheel you will see that the compliment to green is red. I know you said you were not going bold but accents are not meant to be used in a big way - just here and there for spice.
You don't have to go bright red - just something in the family that appeals to you.

I would suggest sandstone...a light, easy color to accent and brighten up the kitchen

I really agree with the red family...burgandy, dark red. It will really accent the other colors well.

I would go with a burgundy/cranberry color. To brighten things up and add that splash of color!
Good luck
