The walls and floors have a brownish orange tinge to them. Most of my curtains tend to display adusty dark brown appearance especially, especially in the top portion of my curtains. At times even my skin shows a similar brownish/orange appearance.

You need to clean you entire house top to bottom with bleach, change your curtains, and you may have to change your carpet as well. It definitely sounds like you have mold and that is super dangerous to be breathing in, especially if it's all over your house. If you can't get rid of it right a way, you need to get professional help right away. We had mold growing in a bedroom that got damaged in a huge rainstorm and we actually had to strip all the carpet, the drywall and throw much of the contents of the room away and then wash the wood with bleach and then start over. Once it starts going it is hard to get rid of. Also make sure your house doesn't have any leaks anywhere and if it does fix them. They could be the problem. And if your showing signs as well, go the dr. please!

if it appears that stuff is GROWING on your ceiling/house. Then you have mold. If it's just turning color and there's no growth............it's probably not mold. Mold is really easy to identify, if you can see it.
Anyway, clean it up. It could be mold that makes you sick, could even kill you.
