As an avid bad liar, I can give you some signs of what some people do when they lie.

-If the person is beginning to sweat
-If they avoid eye contact
-If they're wringing their hands a lot or appear restless

Just a few tips.

These are usually unique to each person however there are themes that carry through. In the gambling world they are known as 'tells' as they 'tell' the other players when someone is bluffing at poker.

There is a simple trick that you can use though. If you think someone is telling a fib, ask the question once, wait a while ask again slightly rewording the question, then wait again and ask the question a third and final time. There is a complex psychological reason for this but for some reason on the third time you ask the liar normally comes clean.

However it is possible to train people not to do this. Most secondhand car salesmen for example seem to be able to look you straight in the eye and tell you an absolute pile of porkies!! LOL...

They need to remember the lie they told you. Remember the lie they told to cover that lie and so on. One way or another they will forget one of the lies and be caught out!!! To your face, they may fidget, keep looking @ their feet or playing with their hands. They may sweat (depending on the lie) they may stutter their words. They may not want to make eye contact with you. They may even smile and then try to hide it.
