Yes, you will love it here - friendly people, both North and South, and stunning scenery. Would recommend the North Antrim Coastline and the Lakes of Killarney/south west coatline. Enjoy your holiday and a thousand welcomes.

I'm from Dublin and I personally thinks it's a great country to visit! Loads of shops, castles, churches and green parks! I'd stay in Dublin if you want to go out at night and if you want to be in a central location. The biggest shopping center in Europe is just outside the city and takes 10 mins to get there by the LUAS! It's the Dundrum shopping centre! The nightlife is good too and there are loads of transport links around the country so you can go anywhere!! Hope that helps =)

By all means. Are you intending to holiday?
Southern Ireland is expensive for just about everything especially eating out & accomodation.
The traditional Irish welcome can still be found but be careful, some greed has crept in over recent years & things are not always what they seem.
Air travel to Ireland is relatively inexpensive.
The UK pound is all right against the Euro, so not too bad for UK visitors (though some of the Irish can be anti-British) but the US dollar is weak & it is not a good destination currently for US visitors on a tight budget.
Have a good visit if you decide to come.

Yes! It's beautiful and the people are very welcoming without being phony. Definitely see some of the countryside and if you have time visit N. Ireland - it is beautiful and there aren't as many tourists - it's nice to see the culture change too.

By all means ... the Conrad Dublin, and the Fitzpatrick Killiney Hotel are both nice (Conrad is considerably more expensive, but plusher).
You MUST visit Dalkey - about 10 minutes south of Dublin on DART.
See the Book of Kells.
Do the Waterford Crystal factory and Cork!!

i live in derry in the north,it is a really nice city but if u want 2 c the real ireland then go 2 donegal lovely beaches,great people, wee white cottages and great stout lol
avoid donegal town it is a tourist trap ,check out glenveay national park and watch out for the stags and falcons
come 2 ireland its yours 2 discover

Definitely - try and hire a car if you can and get around a bit - try Galway and Cork (little bit biased there)
And go to small towns rather than the big cities
