Not really a college, more along the lines of a School of Hard Knocks. Start out at the local level racing factory stocks on dirt or asphalt. I did that and moved up to modifieds and late models. This is the way alot of the new Nextel stars made it I.E. Tony Stewart, CLINT BOWYER, Carl Edwards, Kasey Khane. It is most certainly not a cheap hobby but, sure is a fun one.

Goggle "NASCAR Technical Institute". It is located in Mooresville, NC, about 30 minutes from Lowe's Motor Speedway. There is training for mechanic and pit crews. Don't know the cost, but I understand it is rather expensive. Good luck.

No basically you start out racing at your local short tracks and hope to get a call up to the big leagues.

No. What you'd have to do is sign up for the smallest league of racing. Then you have to move through the ranks up and up and up when you get to Craftsman then Busch and then to Nextel.

No. But, I think I'm not sure but I think Appalachian State University or East Carolina offers some courses in it. It's one or the other.

I seen you had no answers yet so i decided to just leave you a somewhat answer: i don't think there really is a college unless you go to like a machanic school, if there is such thing, so you know how to work on vehicles b/c i'm pretty sure most drivers worked doing that stuff first. If you are wanting to become a driver i wish u all the luck in the world and don't forget- JEFF GORDON IS AWESOME!!!!!!
