Tough question. The Bible says that a man will leave his parents and be with his wife and they (man and wife) will become one. So while a husband and wife may not be genetically related, the marriage creates a bond.

Children are fruitage from the womb and a blessing from God. They should not be neglected.

So assuming a normal family relationship, all family members are important.

I read a comment recently about a child asking who their Mom loves best. This Mom answered; he sick one until they get well; the one whose feelings are hurt until they feel better; the frightened one until they feel safe...

I have a great loving marriage and he is very important to me but my kids need more, so I often need to focus more importance on them. He loves them too so he understands this and probably feels the same way.

Well assuming you are talking about a normal relationship and not an abusive one, then I would say your husband comes first before your kids. What I mean is NOBODY SHOULD BE NEGLECTED, you do not ignore your kids for your husband or visa versa, but when it comes to respect your husbands wishes should come before your kids.

Both relationships are equally important.
One chooses a spouse to whom a life long commitment is made.

Children are entrusted to us for a time and then take spouses of their own to whom they must be committed.

Your spouse and children are just important. When your children are young, their needs come first because they are unable to care for themselves. You should make time for your spouse.
