Well, it depends on what symbols you are looking for. If you are looking for something to get, pick something that means something to you. As for what things mean, if you talk to an artist in a tattoo shop, they know alot about what things mean.

Browse the pictures in a shop or online. Get henna and see if you like the look and remember that it is permanent and remember Old Miss So-n-so with the saggy tattoo on her.
Yeah, it didn't really deter me either. But I think it is a good idea to check around and make sure you adore that symbol to death.
And if you're doing symbols in another language like Japanese, PLEASE make sure it is accurate.

Go check out www.miami-ink.com and ask. Do research before getting one. Remember it will always be on you.. unless u do a laser removal. Or tattoo'd over.
I got one, but it's special to me and I have it on my back. Remember your future employment. WIll it be visible? What about marriage? Children? GRAND children...GREAT Grandchildren.
I can't concieve so, I'm not worried. I asked hubby before I got the tattoo. And it's not like a snake or anything..it's special and meaningful.

you'll need to be a little more specific. what kind of symbols? religious symbols? foreign symbols? meaningless symols?
