KIt depends on the formality. For a very formal evening wedding, the ushers should also be in tuxedos. If it is a semi formal wedding, a suit is acceptable. For an informal wedding,an afternoon wedding or an outdoor wedding, a simple button up shirt with a tie is suitable.

Ushers usually wear tuxes too, but their vests may be a different color than the groom's and the groomsmen'.

I've also seen ushers just wear a dress shirt and tie or even just a dress shirt. It depends on how formal you want the wedding because it's truly up to the bride and groom.

If you want them to look different from the groomsmen but still coordinate the wedding party try a similar suit with the same color tie. A tie would be great especially if the groom is wearing a bow tie.

The ushers should also wear tuxedos...just make sure that their vests and ties are a different color than the groom and groomsmen.

Then the ushers should wear tuxedos, too. They are still part of the wedding party, so they should be dressed accordingly.

In the end, it's up to the bride and groom, and whatever they decide.

Whatever you decide!!! But it all depends on the formality of the wedding. Also take into consideration the cost of the tuxedo and the men wearing them. If you know that it is going to really cost them alot and they can't afford it, then just ask them to all dress in shirt and tie and save them some money! Just request a certain color shirt if you want them to coordinate.

As long as they agree to haVE on THE SAME COLOR SCHEME AND IT DOESN'T CLASh with your colors I think it's okay, but if they did wear atux like everyone else I think it would be better.
