I would very much enjoy it if anyone on this site would be able to prove to me if God does indeed exist.

No.

And just so it's on the record, there is no logical or scientific requirement to prove that god does not exist. If believers fail to prove in a non-faith based way that their god exists, then the logical conclusion is that their god does not exist.

I would like to point out that you have yet to see any such proof in a response.

The ignorant respond, saying look around you, or look at this Universe for proof, but we've explained how most of the Universe is in this state. There are no huge mysteries that god explains anymore. We weren't created from dirt; we evolved from earlier ancestors. The Earth isn't the center of the Universe; it's one of many planets in one of many galaxies that were set in this state and position by the Big Bang. Mathematically, the Big Bang came from a singularity of time and space, and this quality means it does not need an origin. Therefore, scientifically, we understand that the Universe does not require an origin (as, by their logic, that origin would require an origin).

However, any scientist will tell you that in any discussion of this nature, this is all theoretical, simply because it happened when we were not there to witness it. Scientists are like detectives who put together evidence in that regard. So they do not claim to know the whole and perfect truth; only the best idea based on all the evidence and knowledge they have. This is in contrast with religious people, who read one book (which lacks any empirical evidence and even contradicts itself) and claim to know the entire truth of everything.

Everyday, the earth orbits around the sun at the exact same speed and distance. The earth is located at the precise distance, and tilt in relation to the sun that life can exist. Any closer to the sun, earth would be too hot to sustain life, and farther away, and earth would be too cold to sustain life. If the tilt of the earth was different than it is, gravitational forces, as well as our orbital path would be altered to the point life could not exist on earth. Not only does life not exist on the other planets in this solar system, no proof of it having ever existed on the other planets have been found.

When I consider all of the wonders of life on earth, the precision of the solar system and how all of it operates on time, at the same time, every time, there is just no way this all happened by way of a "big bang" billions upon billions of years ago, or a series of randomly occurring chemical reactions that by some great unsolved mystery created amino acids aka the building blocks of life.

I have always found it interesting, how certain people demand proof of the existence of God, when science still has not prove evolution is how life came to be or how life came to be so diverse and complex.

I do not know if god exists or not. However, there is something. True, there are many things that are unexplained, but soon science will explain a lot of that. Humans ourselves are no great mystery anymore, soon we will be able to clone and alter DNA. But there are things like strong coincidences that suggest some guiding force. For example, when you read something at the same time someone says it out loud, or when you see a random series of numbers, and all of them are a number that has had significant meaning to you since childhood. There are statistics that say the total percent of people who buy a ticket for a plane, train, or bus ride, and don't show up, is 2%. The percent of no-shows for rides that crash is 18.4%. So was the reason the no-shows didn't go because they had a stomach ache or bad headache, or were they still needed for fate's ultimate plan. So no, I don't believe in god, but I believe in something.

I highly recommend the books "A Case For Christ" and "A Case For A Creator" by Lee Strobel. The author was an atheist court reporter for the Chicago Tribune. He set out to create a court case that could legally prove that Jesus was a sham. In the process of writing the first book, he became a Christian, and the evidence he found would prove in court that Jesus was truly who he said he was. The second book is one discussing evolution vs creation with a number of scientists who are at the top of their field. The book again offers evidence that, not only does the world have to have been created by someone, but also shows that all the "evidence" of evolution was made up.

Good luck, cause it's quite clear there is no proof. If anyone could prove god's existence, they wouldn't be here... cause they'd be far too wealthy.

The best you will do here is as follows:

Yes... read the bible
No, there is no scientific proof
Maybe... pray with me.

Good luck... and if you do find proof... let us all know!

How can anyone prove to you that God exists when you have already made up your mind that he doesn't?
Start by defining God when he can't be defined. So belief in God is personal; you may choose to believe or not. However, you need no proof of a creator...just look around you...if you have eyes.

First one has to understand where we are. We are in the world called Maya (illusion) only one fourth of the souls come here. (the less intelligent ones) When we where in the spiritual world we envied Gods position. Being their is no envy or hate there we immediately fall to the material creation which is temporary and full of misery. Here we can try to be God. That is why everyone is trying so hard working day and night doing creative things. But the thing is we can never completely be God. We are part and parcel of God we have His qualities in minute quantity.(like a drop of water has all the qualities of the ocean but never becomes the whole ocean.) In this world Maya their are veils of illusion over our consciousness. After many lifetimes of trying to lord it over material nature we become frustrated and board then we begin to question who we are and what is our purpose and is there a God. That is considered the beginning of human life. Other wise our consciousness is on the level of animals. for complete info on this topic go to stephen-knapp. for universal truth and the purpose of human life. Write me for the site on the process of getting out of illusion.

You'll have to have a personal experience to have proof. I was seriously doubting my faith when I became extremely ill after having a baby. I had no money to see a doctor and I couldn't talk. I was in a lot of pain and decided to do the last resort. Prayer. I was crying, (from pain), and begging for God if he was there to heal me. It was the scariest but most mystical moment of my life. I heard, or felt, I can't explain it truely, but something said swallow. I did and there was no pain. I was tingling all over my body and my husband was hiding under the covers when I got up and told me that there was something in the corner of our room. I am still not "religious" but my faith in God will never waver again. You will eventually have your own personal experience. But you have to seek.

First of all, I would like to say that yes, he is so real. If you can give him a chance, he will show you that he does indeed exist. It is apparent that he wants to show you, because you wouldnt have even asked the question. My husband and I want to share this with you. The first thing, you need to look within your own heart, instead of looking outwardly at the world. If you will spend some time alone in a space where you can get very quiet before the Lord and pray and asked him if he is real and get quite, he will speak to your heart. He will send you confirmations that he is real. When I spend time with Jesus, he makes and reveals himself to me. I can feel his very presence. Ask him to reveal himself to you and show you that he is real. He will, I promise you this.

God loves you so much. So much so that he sent his only son, Jesus to die for you. If you were the only one here on earth, he would have done this just for you. You see, were are called from our mothers womb, you are called and God has a great plan for you. Your life has a purpose and he will show you exactly what that plan is. Do you know how I know your called? I know because your spirit is seeking truth. You want to know, something inside your heart is begging you to find the truth.

The first step is Seeking God. You are seeking truth. Can you prove to me that God doesnt exist? I have one thing to say. I can give you scripture, tell you about hell, all that crap, but all I want to say is this. You can ask yourself these quesitons:

If God is real and I dont accept him, what will happen to me in the hereafter?

If God is not real and I do accept him, what will happen to me in the hereafter?

My friend, you already know in your heart he is real. You dont need me or anyone else to prove it to you. Get before God. Spend some time with him and seek his face. The bible says this:

Matthew 7:7-8 - Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

God is true to his promises. When one seeks his kingdom, he will provide it. The question we should ask of him as we follow his calling is "How can my life count the most for you?" He gave us free will -- he does not compel us to live our lives for him -- but when we trust him, seek him, and seek to live our lives according to his word and his plans for us, he shares the kingdom with us.

Salvation is the next. All we have to do is asked Jesus to come into our hearts, tell him that we beleive in him and we want to serve him. It is that simple.

You know the truth, you dont need me to prove it to you. I dont have to prove it to you. Ask him, he is known for his relationships and love. He will give you your answers. Just pray and ask him. He will answer.

Hugs In Christ,
Sheila
