If you want to know some spiritual knowledge you must approach corresponding person. not in net. if someone affects by disease he must approach the doctor not the school teacher. Gita means song or speaking. Krishna instructed arjuna about the spiritual truth, our spiritual nature, this material world, material coverings, 4 different methods to escape from this material world(karma, knowledge, yoga, bakthi). we can find the 4 vedas knowledge in Gita. really wants to know about Gita find a suitable Guru(spiritual master).

Krishna clearly says that "Just Surrender Unto Me"(chapter 18, text 65,66), but we are thinking that, no need to surrender to Krishna, but some other person inside Krishna. Krishna advised arjuna to surrender. Just Surrender to Krishna and ask him about the real truth.

Before the gita all the knowledge lied in krishna. It was presented before both the armies due to the dilema of Arjun in facing his uncles and brothers in a war. It is the last part of the manifestation of krishna as the charrioter of the pandavas. The first one to have the knowledge was Ishvaku, then the rest of the kinsmen like the shudras... however only Arjun was entitled to a vision of krishna during the discourse.

yup i agree That gita means "song of the lord"

basically if you see mahabharat krishna dosent give the thoughts(thoughts of gita) to arjun but it is YOGESHWER Bhagvan who listens to arjuns call for guidance ( on whether to fight the war or not )and gives him guidance in the battle field in the form of of BHAGAVAD GITA so as it is sang by lord it is given the name GITA

Gita word alone means song.
The right name for The Gita is "The Bhagavad Gita" meaning Song of the Lord or "Celestial Song"
