I'm under the impression (from former discussions) that women may find the second situation more intimate than going all the way. That seems strange. If the second situation is more intimate to you, why do you feel that way?

Choice number 2 would be more intimate because you are allowing your partner to watch you do something that is normally done alone. You are being open and trusting in sharing something so personal and private. When you allow yourself to be so vulnerable it brings you closer together, almost like sharing a special secret that you share with no one else.
