If nothing else, you may want to have your spine checked. It could be that a slipped disk is irritating the nerves that go down to your legs.

It is a "cramp"! what is happening is a "change" in temperature. You are probably coming home and taking off your shoes and socks,(feels good), and then you sit down and the floor is much cooler then what your feet were just in for the 10 or so hours. This "cramping" can also occur when your in bed, and that is also temperature change. As the blood, is circulating from hot to cool. Try this, at night, open your bed sheets an hour or so before going. When home, take your shoes off, but leave on your socks, for sure don't go "barefoot"! wear slippers. If you notice a sudden drop in body temperature, like your legs feel cool, put on a pair of track pants or something. Do as I have told you and I guarantee - NO more cramPS! ps - these cramps have nothing to do with "lack of calcium".

I get these (these have a name but do not remember what the name is) but I am told they are from my RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis). If other parts of your body hurt, joints, usually both sides of your body at the same time or you are running a fever while you are at the doctors ask for a blood test. This will rule out arthritus....

Yes they sure hurt don't they!! Hopefully this is just a one time thing and do not last long for you.....I would cross my fingers for you but it hurts to much to do that....it is the thought that counts.

Are you athletic? If so maybe you just need some Gatorade to replenish your electrolytes. Low potassium can cause cramps. But the Gatorade is good for you anyway.

You should definetly get more potassium... that is why the banana helps... stay hydrated and eat balanced meals and your foot and leg cramps should go away...
