I am making thank you gifts for people who have recently helped
me out with a project. I want to make them cookies, but I'm not sure which kind. Do I go with a decorated sugar cookie or a drop cookie or what? What kind of cookie really says thank you? Or what kind of cookie would you like to receive as a thank you?

A variety of cookies says thank you! What if you made a whole batch of chocolate chip, and they hated them? That would be terrible! What you do is: take your 3 favorite cookie recipies, and cut them in thirds. when you're finished, you'll have as many cookies that you would if you had made one kind, but more 2 choose from!
Hope I was a Help,

I think anything home made is lovely. You know people have put effort in when they make it themselves. I like a cookie that is in a shape, like a heart or a star. Circles are just like any bought cookie.
