Well, my father is 60 years old. He's quite overweight. He's had prostate cancer. Both knees replaced. Both shoulders worked on. (He's become quite a walking joke in our family. We love him..we just tease.)
Anyway, we just found out that he's recently had a heart attack. (Mild, apparently.) My husband and I eat very well. The healthiest foods we can find. We exercise regularly. We try to encourage my father (we try to encourage all of our parents, actually) to do the same. But, we just can't get him to cut out the half-gallon of ice cream that he can eat in one sitting. He won't stop eating candy. He can probably eat about 3 pounds of food at any one meal. It's really quite gross.
Are there any ideas to get him to eat better? He eats so much of the worst foods. He is really nutrition illiterate. (He thinks that steak is fat-free.)
My father is a very active man. He has two physically demanding jobs. He owns his own businesses. Any tips?

We tease him that he is a bionic man. Nothing that could truly hurt him.
