when I pour hot Water from the kettle into my ceramic mug that is on my Granite countertop. It leaks.?

Or does it? Everytime I pour water from the kettle that is boiling hot into the ceramic mug it looks as if it leaks. However, Non of my mugs are actually leaking and this happens with all the ceramic mugs that are on top of the granite countertop when I pour hot water into them. Is this condensation?
