My mom was just diagnosed with cancer and has only a short time to live. I would like to know some songs that would be good to play at her funeral to let everyone know how much me and my brother and sisters felt about her. We are a very close family and we are going through a very hard time. Does anyone know some really good Mom songs?

How about classical instrumental? Or try getting a recording of a mom-like poem.

When the time comes the funeral director can help you with that. I personal did the song You Light Up My Life when my mom died. Just enjoy the time you have let and tell her everything you want to tell becuase otherwise it will be too late. Stay close by and just be with her now.

I can't think of any right now , but I wanted to let you know that I am very sorry to hear that! You and your family are in my prayers.My grandfather passed away from cancer and it is not an easy thing to watch someone you love die from such a terrible disease. My heart goes out to you.My daughter just told me that the Spice Girls have one- Mama. From the first album. I listened to it.. Good song. It might be a good idea to play them for her while she is still here to let her know how you feel. Christina Aguilera- I turn to you..... From her first c.d

No. But i have this poem.

What is a home without a mother?
All things this world may send,
But when we lost our darling mother
We lost our dearest friend.

Loving and kind in all your ways,
Upright and just to the end of
Your days;
Sincere and true, in your heart
And mind;
Beautiful memories, you left behind.

However long our lives may last,
Whatever lands we view,
Whatever joy or grief be ours,
We will always think of you.

I just typed in "songs about mothers" on the internet and it gave a huge list. Let It Be by the Beatles was one of them.

I lost my mom not to long ago , and we all picked out a song, that we knew SHE liked.
Why don't you try picking one of Her favorite songs?
It is good to hear that you are a close family- You will all need each other, to mend, and comfort each other.
