The only reason a married woman is thought of as paralysed is because her husband is soooooooooo bloody awful in bed, she can't bear to make the effort to respond!!!!! ;-b
I'm in a wheelchair and when I first met my husband, he broke a man's nose for laughing at my chair with a group of "mates". I had to explain to my husband that he couldn't hit everyone who was offensive to disabled people because he's be smacking someone every day. Eventually, he learned that I was right. Sadly, you have prove me right. Morons will always find a way. Btw, I've explained in previous Answers that I'm not offended by these kind of jokes, but for someone newly disabled, they are devastating. Be careful in future.
