Not all skinny people ask this. I have been skinny my entire life and i have never asked this, even if i felt like i was having a fat day. I know i look good so there's no need to ask. I don't need anyone elses reassurance to make me feel good about myself.

I have no clue. I always ask myself, am I fat? I ask others, my weight has become my obsession. I think its because, I am afraid of getting fat. I go to extreme dieting, and try not to associate with fat people, because usually all their eating is something fattenning. Basically, weight issues have become my life.

society sends the message and how you HAVE to look. Over half the people in the US are obese, so skinny people need that type of reassurance...not everyone can look like a model

I' m skinny and HATE it.I'm always moaning and saying I want to put on weight.
But its probably because they don't like the way they look or they just need reassurance that they look good.Everyone has insecurities about the way they look, even us skinny chicks.

Because skinny people have the same insecurities about their bodies that other people have. And sometimes they want another opinion. Often people see more flaws in their bodies than other people notice.

When I lost 2 stone I msut have been thin but I never thought i was. I know it was stupid to think that way but when you look down at your own tummy you always think it sticks out and that you are still fat.

Because they have body image problems. Deep down they know they are not fat but it makes them feel better by asking and getting that reassuarance.
