A good estimate is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number in half. That gives you the number of ounces of water per day that you need to drink. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces of water per day. If you exercise you should drink another 8 ounce glass of water for every 20 minutes you are active. If you drink alcohol, you should drink at least an equal amount of water. When you are traveling on an airplane, it is good to drink 8 ounces of water for every hour you are on board the plane. If you live in an arid climate, you should add another 2 servings per day.

I drink two bottles a day. One bottle is a slightly more, than 1glass, but less than 2 glasses. I drink 3 or 4 bottles, in the summer.

They say 8 glasses per day but it really all depends upon the person. The best way to judge is by looking at your urine! If your urine is dark amber that means your not getting enough fluids. If your urine is a clear, light, amber-yellow colour, then that means your at about the right point. A clear urine colour is best but don't consume too much fluids as to become hypervolemic. There is such a thing as drinking too much water.

There is no way to answer this. The "8 glasses a day" thing is bunk and should be discarded, like many other old wives' tales.

Just drink when you're thirsty. Period.
Drink whatever you like. It's not necessary to drink plain water. All drinks are ~99% water anyway, so your body will get the water it needs from whatever you drink.

8 glasses a day but it depends if you are active or not. To much water depleats the sodium in the bloodstream and could harm you.
