Everything happens for a reason. If people knew thier future some would try to change it and it would end in chaos. It is God's job to know what will happen not ours

depends on what my future is. If it is that I die poor lonely and in pain then since I don't believe I would do the dishonorable thing to prevent living through that then no I do not want to know. If it is that next week I will die saving the life of a worthy person then yeah I want to know that. If the doctor or my relitive knows either of these then in contradiction to some of whats above then I want them to tell me.

20 years ago I knew an old blind Japanese Guru type who I often transported from here to there when no one else could or would (the Japanese kinda see the disabled as contagious or lepers) and he offered to tell me of the future and being young and unaware what affect that might have I eagerly said yes. All he told me has come to pass except one thing and that is that I will not die until I am 93. So that was in 77 (guess more than 20 now) and everything perhaps of interest has happened and yet I have an equal amount of time left to live, not sure that sits favorably with me.

On the other hand I recently plugged my name into the code and it reveled things in my past accurately and gave me a direction for the future which is not something I expected, yet kind of nice as there definately was an air of well done good and faithful servant which is all I really want to hear after I die.

I think I would keep it all a surprise. Life would be boring if there were no bumps and bruises. They let you know you really are alive and that when the good things happen you can appreciate them more becasue you have lived through the bad. And I think the journey is always better than the destination, when the trip is spur of the moment.

Have you been reading again? I think the answer depends on what kind of a future I'd be looking at. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

Know it. Then I could change anything bad, yet because I changed it, it would still be a surprise.

I would want to let it come as is, because god said not to go to future tellers because he said it is a sin to do so.

I would definetly wait for things to happen. For me, learning things is almost more beneficial or fun than just knowing them. If I just knew things, my life would be pretty pointless; why would I try to change any mistakes if I knew they would happen anyway?

I'd opt for it to be a surprise, since I tend to be somewhat jaded.
