I wouldn't recommend for you to use a straightener. I had one done a few years back. It looks good when you recently get it done but after you roots start growing out its a nightmare. You have to get the roots re-touched every 4-8 weeks. Then after a while you hair gets brittle and very hard to manage. I stopped straighting my hair about less than a year ago and it's frustrating because now I'm trying to let my own hair grow out and cut the hair that is relaxed. What you should do before you go to bed is wash you hair and let it dry then do the doobie (wrap you hair around your head and pin it with bobby pins).

The only thing I could suggest is talking to your parents and letting them know how much of an issue you have with your hair. Just explain to them that if you had a hair straightener that it would help you out tremendously.

The most you would have to spend on a hair straightener is $20-$30. They are really inexpensive.

Ask them if there is any extra chores or extra help you can give to them so you can make a little extra cash to buy it yourself.

Before I had a flat iron for my hair I would always use a good moisturizing shampoo conditioner, herbal essence moiturizing is good if you can't purchase from a salon, and then get a good shine serum and put it on your hair while your hair is still wet, then blow dry all the way as straight as you can get it, if you have a curling iron use it as a straightening method. You don't have to curl with it. I would put half my hair up and start from the roots and go all the way down with out curling using small sections. Then do the top half of your hair. When you are finished slick it with shine serum and hairspray.

why don't you just put moose in it and tie it into a side ponytail. And if you really want to straighten it, save up for it or get a job or w/e. Keep asking your parents until they will say yes but if your parents get annoyed very easily, know when to stop bugging them! GOOD LUCK

You can save to get a straightener for yourself... some only cost $7-9.

Well, you could earn your own money and then buy a straightener. If that won't work try another hair style, one that will make your hair look really good. You could go to your hair dresser and talk to them about it also.
