I goofed on paint color in my highly textured bathroom, I chose a to bright Rose YUCKY. My intent was to visually shorten my narrow bathroom by painting the end walls. Well I am very disappointed with the color, and really cannot live with it. I wanted a soft muted old rose, so now what do I do? Will white cover it and then I start allover again? Also sure is difficult painting thick textured walls- any tips, I bought the correct roller still quite a job. Thanks all help is appreciated...

Try and experiment with the two paints you have. Use the white to tone down the brighter color. You will find it. Just take a bit and swirl the two together in a bowl or even on the paper you have down.
I truly feel for you and a roller may be harder than using a brush with this sort of thickness and difficulty.
good luck

If it was me in this predicament I would not start over.
To go from a bright Rose to a soft muted old rose you could apply a glaze with some white and possibly a touch of brown... but see I would test a small almost hidden spot to see if it would turn out. (I experiment with paint to get different tones and effects)
Maybe better still to take a little extra time to save yourself more aggravation...
If you have the bright Rose left over, paint a scrap piece of board or cardboard (make sure it's the same colour compared with your wall) then go to your local hardware store or paint store... hopefully they are a friendly helpful staff...and knowledgeable.
They actually may have a product to help.
My bet is on a type of glaze... it'll allow the original colour through and the eye will "mix" it with the translucent colour to tone it down.
Hope this helps give you an idea.
Good luck and happier painting!

No reason to re-paint...find a darker-like color and 'sponge' the wall, using the 'yucky' color as a background. Sponge as little or as much as you like (more if you REALLY can't stand the color you have in there now)

If it hasn't dried yet you could dab at it with a plain paintbrush dipped in water but that would take too long to get it all out.

You could also add some black or gray to it if you think it should be duller.

Get a painter out of your local news paper to come and spray it for you. The painter might have to spray it twice if it needs to be primered. If its a small room it shouldn't cost u too much.
