Christianity: believes that He was the Son of God, who was sacrificed for our sins and rose from the dead.

Jews: many believe He was an imposter, and some believe He was a great prophet.

Muslims: Believe He was a great prophet, but not the Son of God.

The thing we have to remember is, Jesus could only be one of 3 things:
1) That He was crazy.
2) That He was a liar.
3) That He really was the Son of God and really did rise from the dead.

Let's look at each one. If He was crazy, why did so many people follow Him? There are lots of crazy people on the streets of our cities, but they have few if any followers. Did people follow Him because He was telling the Truth, and they recognize Truth when they hear it?

If He was a liar, then why would He willingly go to a violent and painful death on a cross for a lie? A liar would simply have backed out at the last minute and said, "Um, on second thought, I take all that stuff back." It's not like He didn't have plenty of chances to recant before Pilate and the Sanhedrin. Why would He willingly die for something He knew to be a lie?

The only other option is that He was telling the Truth and He really was the Son of God, the Messiah that was promised to the Jewish nation and to the world. His existence fulfills over 800 OT prophecies. The probability of one man in all of history fulfilling only 8 of those prophecies in one lifetime is scientifically beyond the range of possibility. Yes, I believe that Jesus is who He says He is.

We can all trace our spiritual if not our physical roots back to Abraham. Jesus physically descended from Abraham through David to both Joseph and Mary.Since His birth was of the Virgin Mary, her ancestral line had to be shown as well. You can find it in the 3rd chapter of Luke. In the works of the historian Josephus Jesus is called the Christ, which is the Greek word for the Hebrew word Messiah. The Jews don't recognize Him as Messiah. Islam records Him as a prophet in a long line of prophets culminating in Mohammed.Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, who was; born of a virgin;lived a sinless life; died a sacrificial death; rose again from the dead three days after He was crucified on a Roman cross; and appeared to the Apostles and 500 other witnesses before He ascended into Heaven. This is the Truth for which Christians have given their lives for 2000 years.

To continue the answer from the above answers... Some Christians believe that JESUS is the only way and therefore seek to change the Muslims view of Christ, this makes them mad. The Christians think that the Jews simply missed the point and will realize when Jesus returns that they were wrong, wrong, wrong... this makes them mad. Basically, Fundamentalist Christianity has a very hard time respecting other traditions. They believe they are 'right' and everyone else is 'wrong'. The Muslim faith has inherited some of this self-rightousness and join the Christains in a history of conflict in an effort to spread truth. Blech.

Correcting the misinformation

Muslims do not worship Prophet Muhammad and do not believe Muhammad is "Above" Jesus, but that Muhammad is the last Prophet that will come to mankind. We believe in Jesus teachings and call his revelation the Injil, however we believe the Injil or New Testment has been distorted. Prophet Jesus is in the Quran, the Muslim Holy Book believed to be the Last Testment sent to mankind.

The above person is very incorrect, many Scholars from around the world including non-Muslim scholars of Europe and America have called Muhammad the Greatest Leader in World and Human History.

In recent times, a book has been published in America
titled "The 100," or the Top One Hundred, or the Greatest
Hundred in History. A certain Michael H. Hart, described as a
historian, mathematician and astronomer has written this
novel book. He has searched history, seeking for men who
had the greatest influence on mankind. In this book he
gives us The hundred most influential men, including Asoka,
Aristotle, Buddha, Confucius, Hitler, Plato, and Zoroaster. He
does not give us a mere chart of the topmost "one
hundred" from the point of view of their influence on
people, but he evaluates the degree of their influence and
rates them in order of their excellence from No. 1, through
to No. 100. He gives us his reasons for the placing of his
candidates. We are not asked to agree with him, but we
cannot help admire the man's research and honesty.

The most amazing thing about his selection is that he
has put the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as No. 1, the first of his "100!" Thus confirming, unknowingly, God's Own testimony in His Final Revelation to the World

Christians believe that Jesus has already returned as Savior. Jews are still waiting for His return. Muslim believe Jesus was a prophet and nothing more.

America and Jerusalem do not fight against each other. At least not yet. Muslim believe that Christians and Jews are evil and need to be eliminated.

Christianity- Jesus is God in human form.
Jews-------- Jesus is an impostor, and a rebel.
Islam-------- They don't know, Mohammad tried to copy from Judaism and Christianity. He got little of either right, and most wrong. He elevated Allah the pagan moon good equal with the God of the Jews. No one would buy it, so he started killing everyone who would not accept his false god. His tactics are still practiced by Islam today, that's why they are so big. Become Muslim or die. Most choose to live another day.

Christianity sees Jesus as the Son of God. Jews "not all" saw Him as their King, and couldn't understand why he didn't set up his Kingdom on earth, But not as the Messiah, some even said to Him, we know that when the messiah comes..... Muslim sees Him as a prophet, and Mohammed as the one Jesus spoke of that he would send, but they do not BElieve in any way that God came in the form of a man.. To them that is Blasphemus and makes God human

For the Christian, Jesus is viewed as the "redeemer of Israel" for all their sins under the Law of Moses, and the one who provides the perfect blood sacrifice to remove, literally destroy sin for all His followers. He is seen as the HEAD of the body, the Church, and fulfills all things to her as a husband to a wife.

For the Jew, He was seen as a heretic who profaned the Law of Moses, all the prophets, and the Rabbinical teachings in the Talmud.

For Islam, Jesus is seen as a "brother" to Mohommed (sp?) and a very important and valuable "prophet" of God, but not greater than their leader.

Christianity: Jesus is our savior, Son of God and died for our sins so we may go to heaven

Jewish: Jesus was a good prophet and not the Son of God

Muslim: i am not sure I know they rejected Jesus' teachings

To be saved one must believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who has forgiven our sins...... To have everlasting life in heaven with him. If Jesus was only a prophet then our sins have not been foegiven and no man can get to heaven....because no man is perfect.
