He's going to be 13 this year and he asked me if he should get braces. I think that he should make his own choice but maybe I'll give him a suggestion. His teeth aren't that crooked but 2 or 3 teeth are out of order. I say yes but you guys give me your thought. Yes or No?

at 13, that is the best time to get braces....
the best thing is to take him to an orthodontist to see whether or not he actually NEEDS braces, they may say a retainer or Invisaligns would be better, since his teeth are not that bad.

He probaly would only need them for about 2 years or so, so its best to get them out of the way before they have to go to school proms and such, which can have a self-esteem issue in some kids...

Yes. He should have gone to the orthodontist around 8 or 9 years old. Most kids have other problems in their mouths besides crooked teeth. A 13 year old cannot make decisions like that.

I say Yes, bad teeth are nasty, and that is usually the first thing people see when they talk to you. But, he can get the clear braces so you don't notice them that much.

I suggest that he get his braces as early as possible so he won't need them for much of high school. In the end his teeth will be perfect!

braces aren't really that big of a deal i had them and i'm glad i did my teeth weren't that bad either but they're a good idea to give him more faith in himself you know, oh and a wrestled for a year and a half with braces and i only hurt my lip once and it really wasn't that bad, it didn't hurt it just bled a little bit, but research the orthodontist ou go to make sure he's got his head out of his ***

honestly he should get them because when he's 25 with crooked teeth he's gonna wish he had gotten them over with at 13.
