M5 is probably the nicest. If you get a pickup avoid a Ford, or you will find out why. Get a Chevy, GMC or Dodge. edmunds.com named Chevy Silverado the best pickup, while the Dodge was the most comfortable.

Wait for the Lexus LS600h hybrid. Good MPG, darn near as fast, and Lexus reliability and quality.
-I do love the M5, but that damned i-drive makes me think twice.
-The Mercedes would be nice, but it will spend a lot of time in the shop
-The Dodge SRT-10 is a beast, but you likely would get tired of all the noise and it's ponderous size

Sounds like you already answered this for yourself....however, you can always check out consumerreports.com to get comparisons. Best of luck...and go with the truck.

The best vehicle you can get is one with no car payment. Buy what you can afford. Check what your insurance will be. That should be a deciding factor. Do not spend more than 20% of your disposable income on a car payment.
