This might sound ridiculous, now that we know that smoking is unhealthy, but my friends and I used to steal cigarettes from one of my friends Dad and smoke them in the woods. My friend's Dad was a Pediatrician. This was in the day when a pack cost 35 cents and everyone smoked.

Never tried it. I probably would have but never really took the chance. I was with friends who tried it for the first time; my best friend took a drag and puked all over himself. I have a vomit aversion so it turned me off. It stopped being cool by the time I would have made an effort to try it again. Now I'm glad because all of my friends are trying to quit but their already addicted.

I was only about 10 years old when I started smoking. That is back in the day when a pack of Marlboro was only 65 cents

I was 15 when I started and it is the biggest mistake I have ever made. I am 30 now and have tried to quit many times with no success.

About age fourteen and I stopped smoking 30 years ago already. Best decision I ever made in my life.

15, but I know lots of kids that started at 11. Lucky for me I quit after 2 weeks.

What exactly? Because there were two different things I started in 7th grade. I don't plan on smoking crack or anything.

I was thirteen believe it or not. Used to steal them from my parents. They always blamed my brother cause they just knew their sweet girl wouldn't do anything as bad as steal from them! Way back then of course there were cigarette machines where anyone could buy them,so we used to save our lunch money to spend on our smokes. That's my story.
