each age group langauage activities are different from the very young 2s something as simple as on/off to pre k beginning studies of letters and more advanced opposites to prereading skills

You can get basic language books from the library or a book store and make things up like a song "One, two, three (children repeat) Un, De, Twa, (children repeat)...) pictures with animals and other things with the word in English on top and the word in say, Spanish, on the bottom, and the picture in the middle. I'm shore they'll love it, and so will you. P.S. Have fun!

Kids love to sing, and it's a great way to get both sides of the brain working. It teaches receptive language skills (listening), and will increase phrase-length (expressive language).
Reading a story and the teacher asking simple questions about it helps, too.
The other suggestions are good, too.

Some ideas for 3-5yrs are reading storys, puppets for children to tell stories with, felt board stories, poster disccusions, dress ups and other dramatic play.
