I guarantee you that the "driver" is ALWAYS the one who gets the ticket. However.......if someone demanded me, as a Limo Driver, to haul *** or run a light, or do this or that.....they better guarantee me in writing or something that they will totally compensate me financially and hire the lawyer to fight the ticket in court to keep it OFF the driver's record.
That's the best way to get rid of tickets anyway, is hire a lawyer, unless you're good enough to go in and fight them without a lawyer. The driver always suffers, no matter who the passengers are.

The driver gets the ticket. The driver made the choice to follow an illegal instruction. The driver is in control of the vehicle.

Probably the driver...he can always refuse to speed...even if the exec demands the driver speed, the driver is still in control and can use the defense of doing what is best for him and his employer, not to mention abiding by the law. It would depend on the contract he has with his employer and the state laws where they are located.

the driver, in my line of work, inventory, we travel alot, and sometimes are running late, some of our drivers get ticketed alot,, and they pay it, even though its a company van,,,,,,,most companies have rules hidden in their employee rules stating their drivers must follow all traffic rules/speeds,,,,,, though, as you said, employers often turn the other way and ignore infractions, we had a driver lose her license for excessive tickets,,,
finally, a person renting a limo,, the driver is employed by the limo company, not the passenger
ps: when i drive i never speed, its not worth a whole days pay!!

The driver should know better than that to not listen to the person telling them to break the law. Also they are protected by law , they could not loose their job because they refused to break the law. So the driver will be at fault.

The driver is always held responsible, but the riders should always be a witness to what law he broke , where, and when.

In my experience, you does not even favor to attempt. each and every taxi i have ever been in has been pushed with the help of a driver breaking the regulation. i became once in a taxi with a guy who became attempting to force round at 70mph, in a 30 zone, after it had snowed the evening earlier.
