It could be any number of things. The best thing to do would be to have him checked out by a doctor to recieve a proper diagnosis.

The green stuff is probably bile and he needs to be seen by a doctor NOW. Grab a bucket or trash can and get him to the emergency room. Dont' take people's help from here. Get a real doc to look at him. Go Go Go

It could be food poisoning (if it was a sudden onset this is the most likely) or the flu especially if there is a fever.
Best to call your insurance nurse helpline to make sure it isn't something more serious. There's a lot of questions he needs to be asked to determine what it is from.
He's very lucky to have you helping him......

go to the doctors right away, there are a number of things it can be, dont even think about making an appointment, go straight to the er, no matter what other people say, just grab somehting he can barf in in the car and leave, now!
