Okay this guy I work with has been asking me out and I keep making up excuses because I don't like him that way. Hes really nice but I'm just not attracted to him at all. What should I do? I don't wanna hurt his feelings or anything. Thanks.

you could try telling him that you strictly do not date people at work. But you might have tried that already. Just tell him very nicely, that you like him and he's very nice, but that you aren't really into being in a relationship with him. If becomes bothersome and won't leave you alone, go to your boss about it. You shouldn't have to deal with emotional stress at your job.

What you really have to do is be blunt with him, tell him that you're not really interested, it would be good if you had a reason. You can say you're not interested without hurting his feelings, it's all in the tone of your voice and the way that your face looks, he'll be able to tell that you really don't want to hurt his feelings. Don't get me wrong, his feelings WILL be hurt, but that's inevitable, there's nothing you can do about that, all that you can do is be honest and let him get over it in his own way.

Depending on what your company's policies are, this could be sexual harrassment.

I know of one company that allows for employees to ask for dates twice--third time it's considered harassment if the previous two answers were no.

If he's just being persistant and you're not really being clear, you should be polite but firm. Explain to him that he's not your type and that you do not want to go out with him.

If he continues to ask you should perhaps bring it up with your boss or a mutual friend who can act as a mediator or pass along your feelings.
