There is some anecdotal evidence that a) Sucralose makes your metabolism slow down, thus keeping pounds on from other sources and b) That electrolyte imbalance caused by excessive caffeine/soda intake can have a negative effect on weight.

Anything diet or that is "sugar-free" can actually make you bloated. The sugar-free substitue is what does this to you and bloating can make you feel as though you've gained a few pounds. Also, just because something has "zero" calories, doesn't make it a good thing to have. You can have anything IN MODERATION! That's the key! Take in more water than you do soda each day.
Also, your body may want something and you think it's hungry so you eat, in most cases, thirst is mistaken for hunger. Try drinking more water and see how you feel. You'll probably be less bloated, more energetic and, hey, you may shed a few pounds!!

The carbonation can make you bloated and THINK that you've gained weight. It alone won't make you gain weight as it has no calories. However, there is growing evidence that artificial sweeteners make your body crave more sweets because it gets the sweetness but no calories. So you may end up eating more sugary foods as well as more food in general because your body is confused that it's getting signals that it'll get energy but in fact gets no calories. My advice? Drink water! If you don't like it alone add a little bit of what ever kind of juice you like so it's a bit sweet.

I went on a nutrition (or easily, changed my nutrition) and for that reason also switched from consistent soda to nutrition soda. I did drop some pounds, albeit it wasn't thoroughly when you think about that of the nutrition soda. despite the indisputable fact that, I though drink nutrition soda now and besides the actual undeniable actuality that I eat somewhat risky each and every now and then, I truly have not received weight. i'm sure i'd have if I went back to ingesting consistent soda. certain, some persons say that you'll ultimately attain weight when you think about that the nutrition soda does no longer have the equivalent pleasing 'action' as beverages with sugar in them, and perchance some persons evaluate to themselves "i'm ingesting nutrition, so i'll eat better". despite the indisputable fact that, the equivalent might want to opt for persons who sport. "I truly have purely run a mile, now i do no longer favor to worry about what I eat". in case you fairly choose all that soda (fairly of purely water), you may want to need to go back to a decision in the shape you opt for the very low calorie intake with the total chemical elements or the better consumer-friendly sugar insanity :)

hi; I'm not sure if it will make you gain weight But if women that drink at least three cans of cola a week even diet cola may lower hip bone density. And drinking more cola may lower bone density further..A research was done at the Framingham Osteoporosis Study. After taking into account the impact of calcium, vitamin D, and physical activity, and other factors, they found about 4 to 5 percent lower hip bone density in woman who consumed one cola a day than in those who drank less than one cola a month..Bone density wasn't linked to colas in men.And woman that drank other soft drinks had no lower bone density..However the researchers saw no link because fewer woman in the study drank non-colas...What To DO>>it's not clear why colas may weaken woman's bones; neither the drinks caffeine nor their phosphoric acid appeared to explain the link..But it makes sense for woman to cut back on cola if they drink it frequently...

Yes. I stopped drinking diet soda and lost 5 lbs. I'm only 95 lbs and 5 lbs shows on me. It has ingredients that make you hungry and want to eat more. Drink water, you'll feel better, be hydrated, and loose weight.

it can make you gain weight. since it has 0 calories you body recognizes this and allows you to intake more calories than if you drank regular coke.
you would eat the same amount in the same time but the lack of calories would make you eat longer. make sense?
