First thing, congrats on working on your weight! That will help you with some of the back pain. One exercise that helps me with my back pain, is to lay on the floor on my stomach, put my hands at shoulder length with palms on the floor and push up, leaving your hips on the floor. Hold this position for about 5 seconds and repeat 10 times. If 10 is too much, start lower and work up to ten. Do this atleast every 2 hours at home until you can work up to 30 of them. If you get "stuck" at a point where it is not getting better, when you push yourself up with your arms, take a deep breath in and let it out fast, this will help stretch those muscles a little more. This is designed for the lower back.
Also, physical therapy is a wonder! I go every week! Really any kind of stretching exercises you can do for your back will help. It keeps your back muscles from tightening up and causing more pain. I really can sympathize with you, I am a back sufferer too with arthritis and on 2 pain meds for the arthritis. Good luck!

Do stretches made for the back area. I personally love to do one where you lie flat on the floor with your legs out and your hands under your shoulders and then push up (you've probably seen this in yoga videos). Look straight up and hold it for about 10 seconds. Do this three to five times. It really does help your back if it's not too hard for you to do. It really seems to help me so I hope it helps you as well. Good luck to you.

Try to get her to keep posture...slouching can weaken the muscles and also cause back pain. Massage, try using a plain oil (as some essential oils cannot be used in pregnancy) her back every night Make sure the baby isn't in a posterior position( OP) this is where the babys back is agasint her back. It is usually due to the mother reclining or sleeping on her back as the babys back is the heaviest so as you can imagine gravity will turn the baby so its back is agasint your wifes if she is always leaning back or lying on her back. Wheat/heat packs

To relieve your pain you could but a pillow in between your legs at night while you are in the bed sleep. That helps elevate your body. Or it could be that you need to flush your kidneys. Drink some crandberry juice. My perferance is Cran-Grape. That could also be a cause of back pain.

Did you ever fall on your tailbone? You should see a chiropractor and have him take x-rays. Congrats on the weight program. I lost about 50 pounds and it helped lessen my back pain.

Need to do some stretching of those muscles.. not exercising them..There are tight muscles, moreso on one side.. they need to be stretched to some degree of symetry.
