I just read a book called "The Gospel of Judas". The short story: Jesus asked Judas to betray him as he wanted to be with his father above. It's a good book and makes you think about Christianity.

I believe that Judas Iscariot, the disciple was actually the one famously crucified and not Jesus (AS), controversial as that may be.

"Why hast thou forsaken me?" and all the answers to Pontius Pilate's questions further substantiate that this was not the same confident prophet of God who had irrefutable evidence of His existence through revelation and scripture.

Further, with his resurrection...Judas had been successfully crucified as foretold of the betrayer of Jesus (AS) however Jesus (AS) was in seclusion at this time, in prayer as instructed by God.
So when his disciples see him walking again...it is a true vision - he didn't die in the first place!

Jesus (AS) ascended to the spiritual world - body and spirit - and will descend to Earth again in the Final Days where he will live and govern as a prophet once more. This will be a time of tranquillity and he will marry and then die, for the first time.

Hope this helps in the quest for undeniable Truth.

Salaam.

Not only did Judas exist, he was one of the Apostles until Satan entered him. Jesus was the "scapegoat" for all mankind.

He existed and was a favored apostle of Christ. It was heart breaking for Christ have Judas turn on Him just for money. It was also devastating for Judas.

I would think so. The new testament at least four different sources do .Early church fathers like the generation after mention him. Unless you have some counter evidence to support that he didn't exist.

EXCELLENT QUESTION!! JUDAS ABSOLUTELY WAS A SCAPE GOAT. YOU CAN PICK THIS OFF IN GOD ALMIGHTY'S WRITINGS IN THE " OLD TESTEMENT". BARNABAS (SON OF RIGHTEOUS FATHER) WAS ALSO ANOTHER PICTURE & PATTERN WRITEN INTO THE DAY OF ATONEMENT. THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED IN 70 A.D. BECAUSE JUDAS WAS NOT BURRIED AND DEFILED THE LAND. IT IS AMUSING THAT MEL GIBSON HAD TO REMOVE " LET HIS BLOOD BE ON US AND OUR CHILDREN" ....OLD TESTAMENT LAW WAS VIOLATED BECAUSE JUDAS WAS NOT BURIED BEFORE SUN DOWN. JESUS COULD NOT DIE IN SIN (UNFORGIVENESS) THUS A 40 YEAR DELAY.
GET IT?????

there is not any thanks to understand "predestination" as concerning "free -will" with a finite, mortal ideas. you're asking the guidelines of God which we gained't ever comprehend. that's the reason C.S.Lewis and Francis Schaeffer by no ability were given into the apologetic.
