I want to buy an SUV or truck that I can daily drive, then put my motorcycle in the back when I want to go to the track or the mountains. I kind of would prefer an SUV so I can throw other stuff in the back that shouldn't get wet when it rains(like people). I'm a college student so I don't have a whole lot of money so I was going to buy used.

I found a '96 4dr blazer for sale with 170k miles and 70k miles on the engine for $2500. I'm don't think I would give him his asking price unless it turns out to look really clean and drives really nice. I also don't know if the blazer will carry the motorcycle (can't find the length of the back with the seats out and the height of the hatch).

anyway, I'm not in much of a rush to buy anything so I will sit around for a good deal. Are there any SUVs I should be taking a special notice to? once again, I'm not apposed to trucks, any trucks I should be looking at?

thanks in advance for the input.

I am considering the gas prices. when weather permits I ride the bike, so I figure my average will still be reasonable.

I'd recommend a pickup truck, only because I don't think a bike will fit in the back of a blazer.

I have a chevy s10. It drives like the blazer, and looks the same (from the front seat) on the inside.

Look around a LOT before you buy. Without knowing what state you are in, I cannot recommend anywhere for you.

SUV and Trucks have different uses. Throw your bike in the back of a truck have an extended cab for more room, but the SUV is more for hauling people and having some extra room.

its cheaper to have a truck and for a college student I think that is the most important.
