do you get nervous around women you like...i texted this guy i use to date we dated fora bit he was really into me although at first he said he thought i was a little scary..and was frightened to approach me..basically i was having a difficult time at work and it was right guy wrong time i could not give him the attention i should off also i was so upset about work and i was bottling it up well i just acted really wierd..Anyway its been 7 monts and i texted him to say sorry for my erratic behaviour and jokingly said 'do u still think i should be locked up?' He replied and he said "Dont worry about it. It doesnt matter. Glad u and u friends can laugh at it. Take care" what does this mean should i text him and ask him for a drink ...i really like him...if u were in his shoes what would u think if this girl asked you out..he approached me initially on new years eve and his friend said he had been starirring for about 40 mins before he came up to me...what does that say about him??HELP

guy sounds a little like me. I get nervous around pretty girls even though i am really confident. some guys do. He sounds like one. I bet he still likes you but is afraid to get rejected again. It kind of hurts for us guys. Nothing would be sexier for you to hit on him, i bet he is dying for that to happen the way you describe him. He is just a shy guy who doenst want his feelings hurt. Go for it!

Sure text him and ask him to meet for lunch or drinks, whatever you feel more comfortable with.
What would I think. I would think pretty much what happened. You liked him but felt he was unapproachable during work situation and now things are different.
What does that say about him?
Maybe he is shy....
Maybe he had just came out of a relationship and was unsure if he was ready for another so it took him 40 minutes to decide.
Maybe he thought you were out of his league and therefore were unapproachable, and it took him 40 minutes to muster the courage to approach you.
Maybe he was planning the perfect thing to say.
Maybe know this will give you some insight in how to get to know him better.

He likes you but he is probably afraid of rejection. make the first move and just talk to him and he'll loosen up quickly.
as you said he was stariring for a long time then came up to you .. if he DIDN'T like you he wouldnt have bothered coming up to you . So if your worried about a bad first impression then explain that you had a wierd day and that you would like to make it up to him by buying him a drink.
me personally can barely speak to a girl i like.

I can tell you that I am a shy guy myself, and when I really "like" a girl I get nervous. When I say "like" i mean i see myself dating her and not just hooking up. If he is scared of you then his response to your text kinda sounds like he was trying to play it cool. I know thats what I would do if I was a little intimidated. You really didnt ask him anything so his answer wasnt to bad, actually sounds like hes trying to make you think. You need to somehow get him to ask you out, because if hes trying to play it cool now and you ask him out, hes gonna feel like you want him bad and he is in charge... unless you want that. You should test him like you girls do and if he wants to hang out he will come runnin.
