Have they no sense of wonder?

nobody's "faking" anything. If something doesn't have an explanation yet, then there will always be some people who say "It must be GOD!" and there will always be others who say "Hey, Cool! I'm gonna try to figure that out!" which they eventually do before they go on to try to figure something else out.

A sense of wonder doesn't really have anything to do with the unexplained. I get filled with a sense of wonder every time I see a beautiful sunset, but that doesn't mean that I don't understand the basic mechanism that creates that sunset.

You have to rely on your belief in god (something completely seperate from everything that we know and experience) for your sense of wonder, I look at the world in all it's glory and see that it is wonderful and complete unto itself.

I really don't know what you mean by this, how can you fake the fact that you do not know something when in fact you don't? What you are saying is people are lying about not knowing things.

if something is UNEXPLAINED, then, by definition, people have a lack of knowledge about it.

some jsut like to be know-it-alls.

others need a cult, like christianity, to explain it to them to get through life.
