hard to say what's happened as you haven't really provided any details...
could be something you did or didn't do.. or, it could be something that's happened to him.. could be it has nothing to do with you.
ask him for an answer.. if he's breaking up with you, then you deserve to know why.. if he won't talk, then ask his family or friends to look into the matter.
i noticed your other question about your other boyfriend you have been dating 2 years.. if this is a different guy, then could be your 8 month boyfriend doesn't want to share you with the 2 yr boyfriend..

sometimes people just move on sadly, or he may have spotted another girl hes interested in sorry.
i say cut the losses and find a new great man!! it happens to everyone at some point sorry honey!

ur too good for that. i've recently been in a situation like that, but boys are retards. they think with their wierner..and not with their brains...
