It wouldn't surprise me at all.

This is fascinating, as this is not a Muslim government country, and those who follow the religion here are very liberal.

Turkey is democratically ruled. There are Catholics living in Turkey. 25000. were reported to be demonstrating against the Pope and that has been said to be a minority. Lets hope that there will be no violence, Turkey is making efforts to get into the European Union, and the Government will take all precautions that this be a peaceful visit. Pope Benedict XVI is brave to be visiting Turkey. The President GW Bush is in process of visiting what were once countries under the Soviet Block, in the pursuit of negotiations and hopefully Peace. Your prayers for their safety and protection,and that the Lord would bless their efforts, are appreciated .
