Why not stay at Dai Laffin's B&B,,hot and cold running sheep and on Thursdays it's live entrtainment night,, Myfanwy's musical bacon slicer,,cheap too,,only £14 and 37 pence per night,,plus if you bring your own sheep they will only charge you £7 per night,,and not to mention the luvvly views

Can't suggest a good cheap B&B in Brecon Beacons but try Smooth Hounds Systems http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ to see if there are any listed.

There are some hotels with reasonable prices in Brecon and if your not too fussy, there is a youth hostel on the road up to the beacons. That is driving from Merthyr end.

you will get a bus from Cardiff. From the 'Storey palms', on the line with the help of the Beacons, your proper section for various of not difficulty-free hill terrain is going West on the Black Mountains.
