I'm guessing what's happened is your tv is not saving its programmed info due to a recent power outage OR you never did set all the programming info like clock, channel set-up, etc. One other possibility would be in your user options menu that asks you if you want to have the menu displayed upon turning on your tv... that is sometimes a factory default setting that can be easily altered in the set-up menu. Also, there are numerous consumer electronics messageboards full of techies who post/answer all sorts of questions from within or outside of their community. If none of those suggestions work, I would suggest going on google and looking for a PDF file of the make/model you have or going to the manufacturer's web site and download one there. This is a problem that should be easily remedied within a few minutes of diagnosing the source or cause as long as you are specific on the make/model and even manufacturing year. Good luck.

My TV dose the same thing. And the only way to have it not do that is to walk over and turn the TV on. My TV is an RCA if that helps.

Turn off your TV, unplug it, wait 2 minutes, plug it back in, reprogram as necessary, and you're in business.
